Heatmap
Create heatmaps to show intensity across a grid in BeCharts.
Back to Chart types.
Heatmaps visualize magnitude using color across a two-dimensional grid (e.g. day vs hour, product vs region). For a guided maker page with templates, FAQs, and export options, see the heatmap maker.
Data format
Common shapes:
- Triples:
[row, col, value] - Matrix: a 2D matrix with row/column labels (depending on preset)
Import and edit support
- Import: ✅ (CSV / Excel / Paste / Google Sheets)
- Edit: ✅ (heatmap editor, when available)
Customize highlights
- Visual map: color scale, min/max, piecewise vs continuous
- Axes: category labels density and formatting
- Series: label display, item style, emphasis
Tips
- Use an explicit legend (visual map) so readers can decode colors.
- Keep grid size reasonable; very large grids can be hard to read.
